PM Modi lays foundation stone of 3.92 km long Okha-Byet Dwarka bridge

After worshipping Lord Dwarkadheesh, PM Modi was felicitated at the temple and he then interacted with people who had gathered in large number to greet him. Thousands of people had thronged to the temple to see their Prime Minister. Later, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of a bridge connecting Okha port to Byet Dwarka. This about 3.92 kilometer-long cable bridge will reduce the distance between these two destinations and will make travel for the pilgrims more convenient. He then laid foundation for widening of Porbandar – Dwarka four-lane road and Gadu – Porbandar road. PM Modi, while addressing a public meeting, appreciated the support of people, especially traders, after the implementation of GST.
The GST regime has been revamped after the 22nd GST Council meeting yesterday. Some major and beneficial changes have been introduced in the GST regime. These include reduction in compliance burden for small traders that have annual turnover of up to 1.5 crore rupees. Such traders now need to file returns quarterly. In the composition scheme, the threshold limit has gone up from annual turnover of 75 lakh rupees to 1 crore rupees. Prime Minister also said Kandla Port is seeing unprecedented growth. This is because we devoted resources to improve the port. He said that blue economy will help further the progress of India. PM Modi also said govt is modernising marine security apparatus and an institute will be set up in this Devbhoomi of Dwarka.
