BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing is heading into Week 3, better known as Movie Night, and all contestants have been assigned a theme from a classic film.
Last weekend saw the elimination of Les Dennis and his professional dance partner Nancy Xu after his Samba to “Rock the Boat” by Hues Corporation failed to impress the judges.
Les faced a dance-off against TV host and presenter Nikita Kanda after the public vote was revealed and the judges decided to save Nikita over him.
However, Kanda could be at risk of elimination this weekend alongside Gorka Marquez, after surviving the dance-off last weekend.
Meanwhile, Nikita has just opened up about being hit by a cruel blow hours before Movie Week.
“Hi, everyone! Just got back from training with Gorka and it has been so mental from the weekend – the Breakfast Show and training,” Nikita said on her Instagram Story. “I have actually got a bit of time to sit and talk – I haven’t done this for a while. It has been a lot. It’s quite overwhelming and I’ve been down and low.
She continued, “It wasn’t nice being in the bottom and in the dance off but I’m so grateful to be saved by the judges. I am so grateful to still be in the show and the competition. I’m working hard and I can’t wait for Strictly Movie Week. It’s my favourite week and I’m having the best time ever. I’ll do an Ask me Anything – I’ll put a box down here.”
Nikita further added, “I’m doing my Breakfast Show every morning, and me and Gorka train 12 to 7 every day, Monday to Thursday. Get the routine finessed and sorted for the weekend.”
