Hrithik Roshan needs no introduction. He is a successful Bollywood actor who has been entertaining the audience for over two decades now. Apart from his Greek God looks and incredible versatility, the superstar is also known for his endless penchant for fitness and is considered one of the fittest actors in the industry.

During a recent interview with fitness trainer Kris Gethin, Roshan recalled how he “was almost on the verge of depression” while he was preparing for his 2019 film War, which involved a series of high-octane action sequences. The Siddharth Anand directorial also featured Tiger Shroff in the lead role.

“I feel as light and as fast as our last transformation. I thought I was dying when I was doing War,” he said. “I wasn’t prepared for the film and I was up against a really big challenge. I was trying to achieve perfection for which I wasn’t ready. After the film, I went into adrenaline fatigue. For 3-4 months, I couldn’t train and wasn’t feeling good. I was almost on the verge of depression. I was completely lost and that’s when I knew I needed to make a change in my life.”

Roshan began 2023 by posting a couple of pictures on Instagram wherein he is seen flaunting his abs. Talking about his transformation, he said, “It doesn’t feel like 12 weeks. It’s been so engaging and entertaining. I have enjoyed this process so much. I have been visualising this day for the past 3-4 years. I knew there will be a point in my life when I will need this transformation once again because I was all over the place. I was resting on past glory.”

On the work front, Hrithik Roshan is presently busy filming for Siddharth Anand’s next directorial Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. Set to be mounted on a lavish scale, the film is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2024.
