ASDA celebrated ‘virtual Diwali’ with Indian food bloggers

BRITISH supermarket retailer ASDA celebrated this year’s Diwali virtually by collaborating with popular Indian food bloggers.

ASDA has made a video featuring Dr Chintal Patel, Sukhi Singh, Radhika Howarth, Kripa Dewani and Madhurima Chowdhury to showcase their Diwali recipes and ASDA’s Diwali product range.

The food bloggers shared their favourite Diwali recipes including dishes like Barfi, Motichoor Ladoos, Chanar Payesh and Khajur Rolls during the virtual event.

The video also featured Diwali range at ASDA including almonds, pistachios, butter ghee, and desiccated coconut, a statement from the company said.

Sukhi Singh (@cooking_with_sukhi) has said that she has delivered food packages made using ASDA ingredients to her close family and friends.

Another blogger Madhurima Chowdhury (@kitchenmai) has said that she enjoyed the celebration of the festival of lights virtually.

Dr Chintal Patel (@drchintalskitchen), who was featured in the video said: “I was delighted to have teamed up with ASDA to highlight the amazing range of Diwali goodies they had in store.”

Radhika Howarth (@radikalkitchen) has said that she made traditional recipes using ASDA’s range of ingredients for her mother.

“Teaming up with ASDA this Diwali with my three little ones, excited about sweet treats, was a fun way of celebrating the festival,” said Kripa Dewani (@15min_mom).
