Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a regular at the Cannes Film Festival, has captivated audiences with her stunning outfits at Cannes 2024. On the opening day, she wore a dramatic black Falguni Shane Peacock gown adorned with striking golden accents. This look, dubbed ‘Gilded Bloom,’ drew mixed reactions from the public and fashion critics alike.

In an interview, Rai defended her fashion choice and expressed her admiration for the gown.

“The look of the last evening on the red carpet was designed by my dearest friends, Shane and Falguni Peacock. They called it ‘Gilded Bloom’. To me, it was just magical,” she said.

“We agreed on creating a fresh look and keeping it easy and beautiful, she added. She also took the opportunity to praise her makeup artists for their exceptional work.

On Day Two of Cannes 2024,  Rai made another bold statement with a blue and silver Falguni and Shane Peacock ensemble. This outfit featured dramatic sleeves and seamlessly complemented the cast she had to wear due to an arm injury, showcasing her ability to adapt and still shine on the red carpet.
