According to reports, Ram Charan has left the city of Hyderabad to join the sets of the much-talked-about Telugu film Acharya. While the film stars his father Chiranjeevi in the lead role, Charan also plays a pivotal character in it.

His pictures at Hyderabad airport clicked before his departure for the shoot have gone viral on the internet.

Ram Charan is set to share screen space with his father in a full-length role for the first time. Chiranjeevi played a special appearance in Charan’s action-comedy Bruce Lee: The Fighter released in 2015.

On the experience of sharing screen space with his father, Ram Charan had earlier said, “It will be an absolute honour for me to be able to share the same frame as my father. Also, it is not a cameo but a full-fledged role for me. I want to thank director Koratala Siva for making this happen.”

In addition to Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, Acharya also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Sonu Sood in significant roles. Buzz has it that Pooja Hegde has been roped in for a brief role alongside Ram Charan. Apart from playing an important role, Charan is also jointly producing it under Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment.

Recently, the makers dropped the teaser of the film, which received rousing response from the audience. It gave us a glimpse into Chiranjeevi’s character who comes to the rescue of a small community of people from a temple who are forced to leave everything behind and vacate the place.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan is waiting for the release of his much-awaited film RRR. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the fictional historical drama also stars Jr. NTR in the lead role, while Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt play extended cameos. Shot in Telugu, the film will also be dubbed and released in several other popular Indian languages, including Hindi.
