The start of the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals was delayed due to rain at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday. The match was reduced to a five-overs-a-side affair.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first. Soon after the toss, rain returned, prompting the groundsmen to bring on the covers.

The rain also played havoc in the media box as rain water leaked through the roof.

A shortened game was made possible thanks to the drainage system at Chinnaswamy. The SubAir technology does not take more than 20 minutes to get the ground ready once the rain stops.

Rajasthan made one change, bringing in Mahipal Lomror for Ashton Turner.
