Strictly Come Dancing star Krishnan Guru-Murthy has amassed a new fanbase ever since he started delighting viewers with his endearing dance performances on the popular celebrity dance reality show. And his latest fan is a Hollywood star-turned-politician.
Yes, you read that right! Arnold Schwarzenegger, known for his several action films and stint in politics, has extended his support to Guru-Murthy.
The broadcaster who is paired with professional dancer Lauren Oakley is Schwarzenegger’s favourite to win.
During a recent interview for Channel 4 News, Guru-Murthy had a chance to chat with Schwarzenegger, who’s promoting his new book, Be Useful
In the course of their conversation, Krishnan shared the exciting news that he is participating in the UK’s version of Dancing with the Stars, better known as Strictly Come Dancing.
Schwarzenegger readily agreed to film a message of encouragement for Krishnan and his talented dance partner. In the video message, he expressed his best wishes and confidence in the dance duo’s abilities.
“I want to wish good luck to Lauren and Krishnan at their event,” Schwarzenegger said. “I mean, I know they’re going to outdo everybody.”
Krishnan shared the video and wrote in a tweet: “So that was fun! Obviously a big fan of the show,” he wrote with a winking face.
The Channel 4 broadcaster, 52, who is competing in the BBC show against the likes of Bobby Brazier and Angela Rippon, has wowed the judges week after week with his routines.
