‘In Flames’ bags Best Feature at film festival in Canada

Pakistani film In Flames won the Best Feature award at the International South Asian Film Festival Canada.

In partnership with Zarrar Kahn and Mohammad Ali Hashmi, the official Instagram account of the film shared the news with fans.

The caption on the post read, “We won Best Feature! Thank you ISAFF Canada for this incredible honour! It means the world!

They also expressed their gratitude for being a member of the South Asian filmmaking community on a worldwide scale.

“We are so grateful to be part of South Asian excellence in Canada and around the world. This award goes to our entire team! We did it, guys,” the team added.

In Flames is a horror film which has garnered immense recognition at the festival. The storyline of the film revolves around a mother and daughter who face various challenges and hardships while navigating life after the loss of the male head of their household.

The film stars Rameesha Nawal, Bakhtawar Mazhar, Adnan Shah Tipu, and Omair Javaid in important roles.

Earlier, Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap praised the film describing it as more than just a moody horror film. He commended the film for its ability to delve into societal issues and lay them bare for audiences, leaving a profound impact on viewers.
